Biography / CV

Dawn was born in Canada and moved to England as a small child. She trained and worked as a Graphic Designer for 17 years before going back to where her heart was, sculpture and painting. Dawns sculpture is figurative and she produces bronzes primarily. Initially working in clay, plaster or wax the pieces have a truly senseitive quality. A lot of the work is based on families and relationships. Amother herself, much of her inspiration is drawn from her own experiences, relationships and feelings.

Having shaken off the constraints and limitations of Graphic Design. Dawns work has vitality and freedom of expression. She is continually exploring new techniques to further this and is working with textures that give an organic and sensual quality to her work.
